Nation Rise Wind Farm Construction Updates

On May 13th, 2020 the Ontario Divisional Court provided its decision regarding the project’s application for judicial review, quashing the decision of the Minister of Environment, Conservation and Parks’ decision to purportedly revoke the project’s Renewable Energy Approval. EDPR is in the process of thoroughly reviewing the Court’s decision to assess implications and next steps for the project. Given the Court’s decision, EDPR is eager to recommence construction of the Nation Rise Wind Farm and bring much needed jobs and investment to the community. However, we will provide further updates on next steps to stakeholders as we conclude our review of the Court’s ruling. The Divisional Court’s judgment is publicly available from the Court’s website: https://www.ontariocourts.ca/scj/decisions/
